The LoboCard is the official UNM ID card carried by students, faculty, staff, and others for access to university services, secure buildings and more.
For UNM students and employees, the LoboCard is the single most important form of campus identification you can have. From checking out books from the library to buying lunch at the SUB, the LoboCard has got you covered. Not only does it function as a photo ID, it also grants you access to many of UNM's facilities and services.
The LoboCard Office in the SUB is open Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:45 PM for walk-ins.

Building Access for John and June Perovich Business Center
Beginning Monday, Aug. 15, 2022, building access control will be activated at UNM's John and June Perovich Business Center located at Lomas and University. All UNM students, faculty, staff, retirees, and affiliates who have a UNM Lobo ID card with proximity privileges will use their UNM Lobo ID card to gain access to the building during normal business hours. For those of you who do not have a UNM Lobo ID with proximity privileges, you will still be able to gain access to the building by using the air phone located outside the building.
If you already have a UNM Lobo ID card, please make sure your card has proximity access. If your UNM Lobo ID card does not contain numbers (5 or more digits) located on the back-right corner, you can easily obtain a new proximity card.
Visit the UNM LoboCard Office to turn in your old card and receive a new card with proximity privileges. You can also submit your photo ahead of time online at and pick up your new ID at the LoboCard Office in the Student Union Building. There is no cost for your first proximity card or if you turn in your old card.
