Non-Student Cards

Contractors

Contractors can also be issued a limited-use LoboCard only if it is required to properly perform the duties of their job. These cards do not allow access to the libraries, Johnson Center, or discounted tickets.

Alumni

Alumni are issued LoboCards only in conjunction with signing a recreational services contract. Alumni interested in using Johnson Center must visit the recreational services desk to establish their contract before the issuance of a Recreational Services card.

Retirees

Retirees are issued LoboCards upon the completion of their employment at UNM. Retirees must turn in their staff or faculty card before receiving their new retiree card, which entitles them to all the benefits associated with UNM retirement.

Affiliates

Certain affiliates to the University are allowed a LoboCard. The process for obtaining an affiliate card is the same as for regular members of the university community. These cards do not allow access to the libraries, Johnson Center, or discounted tickets.

Conference Attendees

Conference cards are generally designated for events and conferences to use meal plan tenders and/or LoboCash. These cards generally are of short duration and specific meal plans can be assigned or designated to them. The conference cards are assigned an expiration date based on when the event or conference closes. These cards are recyclable and no carding fee is assigned if the cards is returned to our office. The LoboCard Office does charge $2 per card for cards that are not returned to our office. The LoboCard Office can also run reports to reflect the usage and balance on each of the cards to inform the sponsors, departments, and/or card holders.

Minors

Minors who are under age 21 with no government issued picture ID will need to complete the Proof of Identification for Minors Form. ID cards with pictures from Tribal schools are considered to be government issued and are accepted in the LoboCard Office. High school ID cards and ID cards from other colleges and universities are not accepted by the LoboCard Office at this time.

Proof of Identification for Minors Form: This is not an online form. It should be printed, completed and presented to the LoboCard Office for any underage student who does not possess government-issued photo Identification.
