Lobo Cards for Faculty, Staff,
And Others Associated With UNM

The Lobo Card isn't just for students. The Lobo Card is the official ID card for faculty, staff, and many others associated with the university as well.

Regular Staff: Permanent employees of UNM are eligible for a Lobo Card when they begin their employment. Staff members can use their Lobo Cards as a form of identification, access card for various university facilities, and a LOBOCA$H card. To obtain a Lobo Card, visit the Lobo Card Office; bring a government-issued ID and a copy of your orientation authorization form.

Faculty: Faculty at UNM find the Lobo Card handy for access to library services and identification. To get a Lobo Card, new faculty should visit the Lobo Card Office; bring a government-issued ID and a copy of your faculty contract.

Contractors: Contractors can also be issued a limited-use Lobo Card only if it is required to properly perform the duties of their job. These cards do not allow access to the libraries, Johnson Center, or discounted tickets.

Alumni: Alumni are issued Lobo Cards only in conjunction with signing a recreational services contract. Alumni interested in using Johnson Center must visit the recreational services desk to establish their contract before the issuance of a Recreational Services card.

Retirees: Retirees are issued Lobo Cards upon the completion of their employment at UNM. Retirees must turn in their staff or faculty card before receiving their new retiree card, which entitles them to all the benefits associated with UNM retirement.
