Lost Cards:
If your card has been lost, immediately contact the Lobo Card Office at 277-9970. After a card has been reported lost, all card activity will be suspended, and the card will no longer function properly.

If your active card is returned to the Lobo Card Office, you will be notified at your .unm.edu address. Additional lost & found locations are University Police and the SUB information booth.

Replacement IDs can be issued by visiting the Lobo Card Office during regular office hours. Please bring a government-issued photo ID, as well as a replacement fee; first replacment $10; second replacement $15; third and subsequent replacements $25.

Stolen Cards:
If your card has been stolen, immediately contact the Lobo Card Office at 277-9970. After a card has been reported missing, all card activity will be suspended, and the card will no longer function properly. Stolen cards should also be reported to the appropriate law enforcement agency.

A copy of the police report or police case number (on an official business card) can be provided to the Lobo Card Office to obtain a free replacement Lobo Card. Anyone filing a false police report is subject to disciplinary and/or criminal charges. Replacement IDs can be obtained at the Lobo Card Office. Please bring with you a government-issued photo ID and the police report number. If you have not filed a police report, please bring the mandatory replacement fee; first replacment $10; second replacement $15; third and subsequent replacements $25.

Note: if you are unable to produce a valid form of identification due to theft, please visit the Lobo Card Office for information on obtaining a new Lobo Card.

If you use LOBOCA$H, you can suspend activity on your LOBOCA$H account by accessing your account online at any time, day or night.  Log in and look for the Lost/Stolen Card link on the upper right side of the page.

Damaged Cards:
Damaged and worn cards can be replaced at the Lobo Card Office. Please bring with you a government-issued form of identification and a replacement fee; first replacment $10; second replacement $15; third and subsequent replacements $25.

The replacement fee may be waived if the card is inoperable due to normal wear and tear. This decision is left up to the discretion of the Lobo Card Office staff.

To ensure proper card function (and avoid the replacement fee):

  • Do protect your card from excessive heat.
  • Do protect your card from becoming demagnetized by avoiding contact with electromagnetic equipment, such as cell phones, TVs, speakers, microwaves, and iPods.
  • Don't bend, fold, or otherwise mutilate your card; this means don't carry it in your back pocket.
  • Don't let pets chew on your card.
  • Don't use your card as an ice scraper or lock pick.
  • Don't punch holes in your card. The Lobo Card Office can safely punch a hole in your card for you, and/or provide you with a card holder.
